Emmerdale’s Adam Barton to switch on Dewsbury Christmas lights

Adam Barton EmmerdaleDewsbury’s festive season will officially begin when the lights are switched on by Emmerdale star Adam Thomas.

Special guest Adam Thomas who plays Adam Barton from ITV’s Emmerdale, will be flicking the switch on 19 November at 5.30pm to light up the town.

From 3.45pm, there will be music, games and live performances from the Pulse Dancers, the HD Hoopers and local performers Jamie Sykes and Jade Helliwell.

Youngsters will be kept entertained by fairground rides, donkey rides, free face painting, and a chance to see Santa in his grotto.

A fire sculpture by pa-BOOM will also be on display.

3.45 – Event begins
4.00 – Pulse radio roadshow commences
4.15 – HD Hoopers perform on stage
4.30 – Jamie Sykes performs on stage
4.45 – Jade Helliwell performs on stage
5.10 – Speech by Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Ken Smith
5.15 – Speech by Rt Rev Tony Robinson
5:20 – Interview on stage with Emmerdale’s Adam Barton
5.30 – Adam Barton switches on the lights
5.31 – Celebratory ringing of bells from Dewsbury Minster
5.40 – Meet and greet/autograph signing session with Adam Barton in a local shop (location to be announced)
6.15 – Special free screening of Disneys Frozen at the New Picture House, South Street (tickets needed and are available online)
