The man is wanted by police in connection to an attack on an 18-year-old who was waiting for a bus on Beeston Road on 6 March.

She was dragged from the bus stop into a nearby garden and struck over the head numerous times with a stone before being seriously sexually assaulted.

She received serious head injuries and a fractured hip.

New CCTV footage show the man further up Burley Road before the incident.

Detective Superintendent Nick Wallen, of West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “This latest footage gives the clearest image yet of the man’s facial features and we hope someone will recognise him from it.

“We have received a number of calls in response to yesterday’s media appeal but clearly we’ve not yet had the crucial one that gives us this man’s identity. We are convinced that someone out there will know who he is and we urgently need to hear from them.

“The CCTV clips, the e-fit image, the distinctive walk or limp all paint a very distinctive picture of this man.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 01924 334710 or via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
