Mother appeals after phone containing baby’s pictures lost in Leeds hospital

Lost Phone Leeds General Infirmary

EXCLUSIVE: A mother is appealing for the return of her phone that contains precious photos of her five-month-old baby.

Victoria Leighton from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, lost her electric blue Samsung Galaxy S5 on the night of 4 January at Leeds General Infirmary.

It contained photographs of her baby boy Kaden, whose photo was also the screensaver on the phone.

Victoria said: “Those photos of my little boy Kaden, document his whole life, from the day he was born a tiny 4lb to a few days ago an 8lb 19 week old baby.

“They are his first smiles, bath time and the first and only time I saw his beautiful face without any tubes or wires. Some photos I can recover from social media but the more private, personal pictures we may never see again. If anything ever happened to my boy all I’d have is a handful of shared photos and my memories, all our private moments together are gone.”

Soon after the phone went missing, Victoria appealed on social networking site Facebook. In less than 24 hours, her appeal was shared over 9,000 times across the UK.

Victoria said: “To all those who have spared a few minutes to offer me advice and well wishes for my little boy, I didn’t for one second think this many people would try and help me get the photos back. Thank you so much.”

The mobile may have been dropped in either the jubilee wing of the A&E, on the benches outside or the costa seating area inside.

The electric blue Samsung Galaxy S5 is a SM-G901F model.

If you know the whereabouts of the phone, please get in touch with Victoria via message on [omitted].

UPDATE: The phone has been found and returned.
