Bradford woman, 95, was ‘restrained’ whilst robbers removed jewellery

Police UK

On Monday, two hooded men entered a house in Toller Park, Heaton, and restrained a 95-year-old woman as they burgled her.

The incident took place on 10 November between 3pm and 3.45pm when two men entered the house and made an untidy search of the property.

As they entered the living room, they found a 95-year-old woman and restrained her while removing several items of jewellery from her body.

The woman was uninjured, but suffered reddening to one of her arms where the jewellery was removed.

Police are appealing for information following the robbery.

Both men had their faces covered by hoods and were wearing gloves, but were described as about 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and in their late teens or early 20s.

It is believed they left through a rear door.

Detective Sergeant Craig McKay, of Bradford District CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone who might have seen any suspicious activity in the Toller Park area in the time leading up to, or shortly after this incident.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Milburn at Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
