Police in Bradford are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary on Northampton Street yesterday evening.

The incident happened around 5.51pm when four males with their faces covered forced their way into the house.

Inside, they demanded the female victim to hand over valuable bangles that were given to her as wedding gifts and cut them from her using a knife.

As this was happening, three young children were present in the room.

The woman was left with minor cuts to her wrists after the burglary.

The four suspects then made off down Southampton Street.

Officers want to speak to three Asian males and one white male in connection with the incident.

Detective inspector Ryan Bragg of Bradford CID, said: “This was a particularly nasty and distressing attack during which children were present.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed it, saw four males in the area at the time or has any other information about it to contact police on 101.”
