Joy as Gogglebox stars retweet and help aid Bradford dog search

Get Murphy Home

A dog owner from Bradford who is searching for his missing pup has been overjoyed to find more famous faces sharing his appeal.

Baasit Siddiqui, Sid Siddiqui, and the Malones family, all known for starring in the award-winning Channel 4 show Gogglebox, retweeted and shared images of a lost Siberian Husky named Murphy.

Get Murphy Home

Murphy, who has been microchipped, slipped from his collar on 4 December in Scholemoor Cemetery.

He didn’t come back and is believed to have been abducted a couple of hours after he went missing.

Ever since his disappearance, a campaign launched by his owners named ‘Get Murphy Home’ has gathered support across the UK.

The Siddiqui’s and Malones join the list of famous faces who have helped share Murphy’s campaign, which includes Bradford-born magician Dynamo, X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary and comedian Johnny Vegas.

Murphy’s owner, Andy Smith, said: “This is amazing. People are coming together and it’s just so humbling and very touching.

“If Murphy hadn’t been stolen, I wouldn’t have done anything like this. This has made me a better person and it’s restored my faith in humanity.”

There is a £1,500 reward for Murphy’s return.

If you have seen him or have any details about his whereabouts, please contact Andy on 07759851895.
