Man, 68, confirmed dead following fatal house fire in Wibsey

A 68-year-old has been confirmed dead following a fatal house fire in Bradford.

Police and firefighters were called to an address in Croft Street, Wibsey at about 5.30pm on 5 April after a fire broke out at a property.

On entering the property, emergency services found the body of a 68-year-old man inside, who was confirmed to have died at the scene.

It is not believed anyone else was in the property at the time the incident took place.

Detective Inspector Gary Stephenson of West Yorkshire Police, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into this incident with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of this fire.

“Anyone who saw the fire break out or has information about the incident is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101.”

Police do not currently believe there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing.
