The incident took place on 30 March between 9pm and 9.30pm on board the 8.24pm Manchester Piccadilly to Leeds service.

A man boarded the service at Huddersfield and sat across from the victim, a 46-year old woman from Barnsley.

He then opened his trousers, exposed himself and then performed an indecent act whilst watching the victim.

The victim moved carriages to get away from the man but he followed her and continued to touch himself.

The man then left the train at Leeds.

PC John Hill said: “Understandably this was an upsetting experience for the victim. We take incidents such as these very seriously and will do all we can to find the man involved. If you recognise the man pictured please come forward and contact us.”
