Second man charged over Boston Spa post office robbery
A second man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery in Boston Spa that took place last month.
Mark Pick, 41, of Lea Farm Road, Leeds, was arrested on 3 April and has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today.
The incident took place on 23 March when two cross-dressing robbers entered a post office on High Street, Boston Spa, dressed in women’s clothes, wigs and hats, with one being pushed in a wheelchair.
One was holding a shotgun that was discharged once outside and no-one was shot.
One post office worker was hit on the head with a crowbar and was taken to hospital.
A large amount of cash was also recovered from outside the post office and police believe the offenders probably left empty-handed.
James Martin Pick, 38, and from Willow Avenue in Clifford, has previously pleaded not guilty to the same charges and remains in custody.
