Police have released the footage to help identify the suspects after a 48-year-old man was attacked at his property off Tyersal Road at about 10pm on 16 December last year.

The victim received cuts and bruises when he was assaulted by the three men, who had approached the address and smashed their way in.

They made demands for money before hitting the victim on the head and arms.

The man’s wife was threatened but managed to escape from the building and call the police.

“Suspect’s balaclava does not cover the upper part of his face”

The three suspects ran off empty-handed and drove off in a vehicle they had parked nearby.

Detective Constable Lisa Watts, of Leeds District CID, said: “This was a terrifying experience for this couple to be confronted by these masked armed men and threatened and attacked in their own home.

“While the men had their faces covered, one suspect’s balaclava does not cover the upper part of his face and together with his build and clothing we are hoping someone may recognise him.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Watts at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
