Snow showers expected to fall in West Yorkshire once again

Child And Mother Snow

Snow is expected to fall once again in West Yorkshire this coming week, according to the Met Office.

Yellow ‘be aware’ warnings of ice have already been issued at the start of the week but on Wednesday, heavy snow showers are expected to affect eastern and northeastern parts of the UK.

Authorities listed to be affected include the East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and York.

“Snow showers are likely in a strong northeasterly wind”

The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: “The very cold air mass is likely to continue to affect much of the UK during Wednesday.

“Along the eastern coasts of both Scotland and England, snow showers are likely in a strong northeasterly wind. Snow showers are likely to ease through the day across eastern Scotland and northeast England, whilst conversely shower activity is likely to increase across other parts of eastern England, with some snow showers being driven inland at times.”

The public have been advised to be aware of disruption to travel.
