Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked and robbed of an 18-carat Rolex in Cookridge, Leeds.

The 51-year-old victim was confronted by two men on the driveway of his house off Tinshill Road at about 9.30pm last night.

The men grabbed him by the arms and demanded him to hand over his watch. He refused and they forcefully pulled it from his wrist.

Before running off, the men kicked the victim in the head.

PC Jennifer MacDonald, of the Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “The victim was not seriously injured but was left extremely shaken by the incident. I would like to hear from anyone who saw the men or the vehicle in the area or who has been offered such a watch for sale.”

The stolen watch is an 18-carat gold Rolex, model 18238.

One man was described as white, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, aged in his mid 20s and slim. He was wearing a light blue hoody, grey balaclava, jeans and trainers.

The second man was thought to be black, of similar height and build and was wearing a grey hoody and a balaclava.

The men may have followed the victim from Horsforth in a small blue hatchback which appeared to be lowered at the front.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 6025 MacDonald at Weetwood Police Station via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
