Lady’s owner and family appealed through a UK website dedicated to everything lost and found named Lostbox.

Over 60,000 people reportedly clicked on the Facebook page link alone and a photo of Lady was shared over 1,000 times.

Lady was found three days after she went missing and was returned nearly two weeks later.

A local man spotted Lady on the street and saw her poor condition.

Lady’s owner, Joanne Puttock, said: “A little old man was walking home and came across a little ginger dog who looked poorly so he took her in. He got in contact after he saw the appeals.

“I can’t describe the happiness. Even my two-year-old niece has come to my house to see her. We missed Lady that much.”
