Plane Landing Sideways

A plane trying to land at Leeds Bradford Airport was forced to land almost sideways due to windy conditions.

The plane was trying to land at the highest airport in England and had to battle winds after a supposed aborted landing earlier.

The Met Office issued a weather warning recently and said frequent gusts of up to 70mph were likely across Yorkshire.

The public was also advised to be aware of the potential for disruption, particularly to transport and power supplies.

Last month, a British Airways plane trying to land at the same airport was forced to abort the landing due to strong windy weather.

It attempted to land but had to divert to Manchester, where it landed safely.
