Zombies using MCards to take the bus in West Yorkshire

MCard Zombies

Payzone outlets across West Yorkshire will become the dead centre of town as hordes of zombies are unleashed to promote new travel smart cards.

Bus and train operators have been working together to launch ‘MCards’ – similar to Oyster cards used in London – that aim to make it easier for people to travel throughout West Yorkshire.

Zombies will be promoting the idea that MCards are ‘dead handy’ to get hold of, available from over 700 Payzone stores in the county.

The campaign is also supported by a short film that uses zombies to add humour to travel.

It will be shown in cinemas throughout the county, also being shared across social media, as well as bus and rail transport operators.

Richard Soper, Chairman of the West Yorkshire Ticketing Company Ltd, said: “Getting hold of your tickets is simple with Payzone and our zombie campaign has really brought the message to life.

“With many travellers relying on bus and rail transport in the region, we want people to know that we are working together with operators and West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority, Metro, to make travel simpler.”
