Basketball players defend bullied cheerleader with Down’s syndrome
Youngsters in the United States have touched hearts worldwide after they came to the aid of their classmate.
During a basketball game, the players spotted fellow cheerleader Desiree Andrews being bullied when someone called her something upsetting.
In an act of kindness, they walked off the court to defend her and told the bully to stop.
Basketball player Scooter Terrien said: “It’s not fair when other people get treated wrong, because we’re all the same, we’re created the same, God made us the same way.”
The players have dedicated the gym to Desiree by calling it ‘D’s House’.
