George Galloway: ‘I’m standing for Mayor of London 2016’
Former Bradford West MP, George Galloway, has announced that he will stand for Mayor of London in 2016.

The Respect Party leader announced his intentions on social media on Twitter and Facebook.
Galloway posted a picture of himself sitting on a bed with his young son and the slogan “Dad, you’ve got to do this. I’ve got your back!”.
It included a caption: “I’m standing for Mayor of London 2016”.

On 7 May, Galloway lost the Bradford West seat to Labour’s Naz Shah by a majority of more than 11,000 votes.
