Between 6.39pm and 6.46pm on 11 March a man walked into the Majestic Wine Warehouse on Denby Dale Road, Wakefield, and then took a case of six bottles of Moet and Chandon Champagne.

He took them to the till and attempted to distract the employee before picking up the case and tried to run out of the store.

But he dropped all of them and left the store on foot.

A man who officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as white, clean shaven, aged between 25 and 30 and of a heavy or stocky build, who also spoke in a local accent.

He was wearing a black jacket over the top of a green coloured T-shirt, long green shorts and black and green trainers.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Nathan Kenney of the Wakefield Central Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
