Pro-Palestine campaign gives boost to ‘Coke alternative’

EXCLUSIVE: Campaigners from Yorkshire are stepping up their boycott of Israel by promoting a ‘Coca Cola alternative’ to businesses and the public.

Group Promote Evoca Drinks

Campaigners say they are launching a major campaign.

Representatives from a Bradford-based boycotting group and a pro-Palestinian group are now promoting the London-based Evoca Drinks brand in the north of England.

They say a mass campaign is underway.

A spokesman said: “We have stepped up the boycott campaign extensively this Ramadan as it has been exactly one year since the atrocities in Gaza took place, leaving 2,200 innocent civilians dead and tens of thousands of people injured.

“Last year our boycott campaign was extremely successful, but one major problem we had a year ago was finding an alternative to Coca Cola and other global soft drinks brands, who have one face for the public and another one behind closed doors.”

The campaigners say they came across Evoca Drinks brand by a ‘stroke of luck’.

The spokesperson said: “We like the brand, the products, and the fact that the company is both 100% non-political and ethically aware. For us this is a no brainer, the products taste better than the major players and the company is very well principled.”

The campaigners have said they will be leading a major social media campaign as well as visiting businesses throughout the region.

I can see the use, but realistically to combat the issue of big business funding war you need to tackle a slightly smaller multinational corporation? Like, you’re realistically not going to win that battle without taking down the foundations upon which it rests? But anyhow seems like a good idea potentially used in a more applicable way, such as funding AID for the people suffering from attacks, sending people In, not necessarily have to go, but using the skills applicable from pushing those products, profit of which going to external bodies, rather than going into either A. People who need it due to crisis situations or B. People who could provide aid in them? Wether that be a medic, chef or helping hand, surely it better we take action in defense than just pushing an ethic or an idea?

Good luck in your missions and take care out there!
