Pastor asks for donations so he can buy a £43m luxury plane

A pastor in the United States has asked followers to donate and ‘help spread the word of the Gospel of Grace around the world’ with the help of a luxury jet.

Televangelist and founder of World Changers Church International, Creflo Dollar, is hoping to get 200,000 people to donate $300 (£202) each so he can buy a brand new luxurious Gulfstream G650 airplane for his ministry.

The typical number of passengers it can hold is up to 18 people.

According to the ministry website, it needs the most luxurious private jets in order to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The website reads: “Due to this recent incident coupled with the 31 years the airplane has been in service, we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide.

“Believe it or not, there are still millions of people on this planet who have never heard of Jesus Christ and know nothing of His greatness. Our hearts desire to see precious lives changed and snatched out of darkness and thrust into His marvelous light! We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ.”

A speaker in a five-minute appeal video says a plane plays a ‘vital part’ in the ministry.
