Although there were no signs of Sam, the Yorkshire Standard received confirmation from several sources he was at the location.
Filming for ‘The Hunter’s Prayer’ began in Yorkshire last month, and additional scenes are also being filmed in Harrogate, Helmsley and Scarborough as well as Hungary.
In the film, Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator Salvation, Clash of the Titans, The Debt) plays a solitary assassin hired to kill a teenage girl.
After developing a bond with his target, he comes to the realisation he can’t carry out the task. The hunter then becomes the hunted as both are marked for death and stalked across Europe.
The film is a US/UK co-production budgeted at $25 million and backed by the Ingenious Senior Film Fund, Ingenious Project Finance, Maple Leaf Films, LipSync Productions, and Screen Yorkshire through its Yorkshire Content Fund.
Hugo Heppell, head of investments at Screen Yorkshire, said: “This has been a stand-out year for Yorkshire, and bringing Hunter’s Prayer to the screen caps it off.”
Very cool! Bradford is an amazing place despite what anyone says. HATERS GONNA HATE!
