Games: Mortal Kombat X to contain over 100 brutalities

Brutalities are coming to Mortal Kombat X, Netherrealm have revealed in a live stream.

In a short demo between MK fighters Cassie Cage and Quan Chi, Cage pounced on her foe and pounded him senseless before smashing his head open.

Another brutality showed Cage low-blowing newcomer D’Vorah until her head popped off, whilst Raiden electrocuted his opponent Quan Chi to death.

Netherrealm have stated there are over 100 brutalities in the game.

Unlike previous games on MK, brutalities aren’t triggered by complicated button presses, but activated by certain conditions, such as winning a round with a throw.

Co-creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon, teased about the brutalities on Twitter before the announcement was made.
